Yoga at The Abbey
We’re delighted to offer a regular monthly yoga practice in the beautiful surroundings of the Abbey.
Each session is led by our partners at The Nook Yoga Studio, who bring a gentle, accessible approach suitable for all experience levels. Set within the serene atmosphere of the Presbytery, these classes offer a rare opportunity to stretch, breathe, and find stillness in one of the Abbey’s most inspiring sacred spaces.
Join us each month for a calming, reflective practice that nurtures body and mind.
Join us for a truly special hour-long yoga practice set within the breathtaking surroundings of Tewkesbury Abbey. Each session offers a balanced and accessible practice, including elements of meditation (either at the beginning or end of the class), guided breathwork, and a flowing vinyasa sequence designed to help you move, breathe, and reset. During the warmer months, some sessions will also incorporate gentle yin practices, offering longer-held postures to support deep rest and release.
Hosted by The Nook Studios, Tewkesbury, these sessions invite you to step away from the everyday and immerse yourself in something truly spectacular. Practising yoga beneath the soaring arches and ancient stone of the Abbey creates a powerful sense of calm, connection, and presence—an experience that feels both grounding and uplifting.
Whether you’re new to yoga or a regular on the mat, Yoga at the Abbey offers a unique opportunity to slow down, tune in, and enjoy movement and stillness in one of Tewkesbury’s most iconic and inspiring spaces.
What to bring & wear
Please wear layered clothing, as the Abbey can feel cool. Yoga mats are not supplied, so please bring your own. In the colder months, small pillows and a blanket are not required but are recommended for Shavasana at the end of the practice and for meditation, to help you stay warm and comfortable.
