Tewkesbury Abbey Theology Forum
The Theology Forum provides an opportunity to hear speakers (and to challenge them, too) who are immersed in fundamental ideas about a search for God, reality, meaning and existence. The Forum seeks to make theology an adventure for all who are willing to have their notions about what is ultimately real and important examined. We try to have speakers who are expert in their fields – the Arts, Science, the Humanities and of course, Theology and Religion.
We are very happy to receive suggestions for future talks. Recent speakers have talked about:
- The Stained Glass Windows of Tom Denny
- The Emperor Constantine
- Ancient Hebrew Food (with samples!)
- Bad girls of the Bible
- What exactly do we mean when we talk about “God”
- The History and Meaning of the Nicene Creed
- Reconciling Justice in the Middle East
Do come along and join us – you will be pleasantly surprised!
Talks start at 7:30pm and are free to attend, but if you can, we would appreciate a donation to our running costs.
Drinks and nibbles, and convivial conversation, before the start of each meeting at 7:00pm.
