Tewkesbury Abbey Theology Forum
The Theology Forum meets six times each year, and is open to all - of any faith or none - who have an interest in matters theological.
Our meetings take different formats. We may:
Read a book beforehand and discuss issues it raises
Read a paper prepared by a member of the Forum and then talk about it
Listen to an invited speaker, followed by a question and answer session.
In the past we have discussed (amongst others) books such as
"Do Nothing to Change Your Life" by Stephen Cottrell and
"The Word of God ?" by Keith Ward.
We have discussed papers about the Nicene creed, the place of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the Anglican Church and "Islam - a Christian Response?".
We have also had talks such as
"Bad Girls of the Bible" by Nikki Arthy and
"Christian Hymns - just a 'jolly good sing'......??" by Michael Tavinor
So you see there is something for everyone - why not come along (we meet in Abbey House, next to the Abbey) and see for yourself? For more details email Spencer Instone
