Bellringers across England are being encouraged to ring the bells at their local church(es) on 23rd April to celebrate St George’s Day. Luckily this year 23rd April falls on a Saturday so bellringers in the Tewkesbury area are making the most of this and planning to make a joyous sound by ringing at as many of our local towers as possible at some time that day.

Listen out for the bells ringing at: Tewkesbury Abbey, Ashchurch, Ashton-under-Hill, Beckford, Boddington, Deerhurst, Earl’s Croome, Eldersfield, Hanley Castle, Hasfield, Ripple, Staverton, Strensham, Tredington, The Leigh, Tirley, Twyning and Upton-upon-Severn.

If you are a bellringer and would like to take part or are interested in finding out more about this fascinating hobby please contact the Abbey Office (01684 850959 office@tewkesburyabbey.org.uk) who will be able to put you in touch with the appropriate person.
